Food Drive Program

FOOD DONATIONS ARE NEEDED YEAR ROUND

Sedona Community Food Bank (SCFB) needs food donations year round, not just at holiday time, so we rely upon individual food donations and food drives. Some drives are held regularly and some are organized occasionally by worship groups, organizations, and individuals.

Food driveDonations must be non-perishable, unexpired, unopened, unused foods only, please. Any perishables must be delivered directly to the food bank, such as meat, cheese, dairy, and fresh produce. For more information on what we need see our list of recommended foods.

BLUE BARRELS

SCFB has food-donation barrels at various locations around the community. You can leave your food donation for us in any of these barrels.

Please don’t leave monetary donations in barrels – a monetary donation can be made here >

BIRTHDAY WISHES

A birthday celebration can be a food drive! The next time you have a birthday to celebrate, ask for food donations for SCFB instead of gifts! This is a great idea for kids’ birthdays as well as for adults.

NEIGHBORHOODS

Organize a food drive in your neighborhood on a regular basis – maybe when you have your homeowners association meetings or parties. Or neighbors can leave their food donations in bags at your home or, in the case of some neighborhoods, the clubhouse. If you need someone to pick up the donations, give us a call.

WORSHIP GROUPS, CLUBS, ORGANIZATIONS

When you have meetings, special events, or other special occasions, ask members to bring food donations for SCFB. People are happy to donate when asked!

Please contact Cathleen or Dennis or phone them at (928) 204-2808, if you or your organization would like to organize a food drive; we can provide you with information and blue barrels and, if you need the accumulated food picked up, we can arrange for pickup.
